Critical Nature

The Critical Nature: CSDS Policy Analysis Series presents engaging writing on priority policy issues in Southeast Asia. The scope of Critical Nature covers the themes of CSDS, namely:

• Resource Politics;

• Rethinking regionalization;

• Human rights, human security and justice;

• Transdisciplinary knowledge and innovation;

• Public sphere, democratization and the commons; and

• (Forced) Displacement and Development.

Each article is intended to simultaneously be evidence-based, analytical, and stimulating, and written to encourage rigorous debate amongst policy makers, opinion formers, academia and the interested public. A moderated discussion board is provided for each Policy Analysis, and for the first month following publication the author will regularly respond to comments submitted (see our comments policy here).
